On June 28, 2025, at 2:30 PM, Gdańsk will host a thrilling speedway event. On that day, the Zbigniew Podlecki Stadium at 1 Zawodników Street will be the venue for the European Team Speedway Championship Grand Final. Team Poland, as the host nation, is guaranteed a place in the final and will be defending their title. They will compete against Denmark, Sweden, and Ukraine. Online ticket sales for the event have just begun.
For the first time, Gdańsk will host the Grand Final of this prestigious tournament. It is in the city on the Motława River that the medals for the European Team Championship – held for only the fourth time in history – will be awarded. Team Poland won all three previous editions: gold in Poznań in 2022, victory in Stralsund, Germany, in 2023, and another triumph in Grudziądz in 2024. They are expected to be the favorites again in Gdańsk, but the competition – emerging from Final A in Pardubice and Final B in Elgane—will be strong. Denmark and, somewhat surprisingly, Ukraine advanced from the Czech round, while Sweden qualified in Norway.
This year’s ETSC introduces one major rule change: the scoring now includes 22 heats (previously 20). Each reserve rider is guaranteed two starts in a separate race, although they can still substitute teammates in regular heats under the existing rules. Teams consist of four riders (one of whom may be a regular participant in the Speedway Grand Prix series) and one reserve under the age of 21.
– There’s still time to announce our lineup, but we’ll aim to field the best possible team to defend our title. We have great respect for our opponents and know the competition won’t be easy. Still, we’ll do everything we can not to disappoint our fans – says Rafał Dobrucki, coach of the Polish National Speedway Team.

To receive a free ticket, you must provide a copy of documentation confirming a significant level of disability. Free entry is granted to both the person with a disability and one accompanying caregiver.
