The teams from Denmark (Group A), as well as Sweden and Latvia (Group B), secured promotion to the Grand Final of the LOTTO European Team Speedway Championship in Pardubice, which will take place in Rzeszów on May 9 at 4:15 PM. Poland completes the lineup of medal contenders and will defend its title.

ETSC Challenge Day Format
ETSC Challenge Day is a new regulatory feature in this event. At Svítkov Plochodrážní Stadium, as many as 44 heats took place, with 40 riders on the starting list. The eight participants were divided into two groups, competing alternately, and the event lasted over 4 hours.
Group A Results
The Danes were unbeatable in Group A. Despite bad luck at the start when Anders Thomsen fell (after crashing with Mathias Pollestad, he was taken to the hospital; the Dane reported three broken ribs, while the Norwegian suffered general bruises), they dominated their rivals. They only conceded first place three times, clearly ahead of Ukraine (34 pts), Slovenia (21 pts), and Norway (19 pts).

Competition in Group B was more even. Ultimately, the Swedes won (39 pts) ahead of Latvia (35 pts), Czechs (32 pts), and French (25 pts). Latvia’s promotion to the Grand Final was secured in the last heat of the day by the unbeaten Andzejs Lebedevs on Saturday. In the head-to-head with Ukraine, they were one point better.
